FAQs

How long are the sessions?

All sessions run for 45 minutes with the exception of school kids yoga which runs for 60 minutes.

Do I have to stay with my child and can I bring older/younger siblings?

Yes, parents must stay at the play studio while their child’s session is running. Siblings are also welcome as long as parents are supervising. Parents are encouraged to participate and engage in the activities with their child. This is especially important with younger children (Discoverers and Explorers).

School age children can be left at the studio during the school kids yoga class. Parents must be at the studio to collect their child within 10 minutes of the class completion time.

How do we book in?

All bookings and payments are made though our website booking page. If you need support with our system please make contact via phone or email.

Are there any COVID safe requirements?

Yes. All participants are required to complete a pre screening questionnaire prior to their session. This will relate to the health of both parent and child along with any siblings in attendance. Everyone over 12 years attending the studio will be required to wear a face mask in line with government regulations. Medical exemptions apply. Please use hand sanitising stations on entry and throughout the studio. Please maintain 1.5 metres social distance with others. These requirements are subject to change inline with Victorian Government announcements.

Can I use my NDIS funding to pay for my group program?

Please contact your LAC and consult with them. If the program is supportive of your child’s therapy goals and your NDIS funds are self or plan managed you may be able to claim the cost of the program from your package.

What happens if we miss a session?

Make up sessions are subject to availability in a suitable class. Members have access to unlimited make up sessions. Classes booked with a casual pass can cancel up to 4 hours before class starts for a refund or make up session.

What should my child wear?

You child should wear comfortable clothing. Move classes require physical activity therefore appropriate closed toe footwear is required. Play sessions include messy play and your child may get dirty. A change of clothes may be necessary. Art smocks are available for your child to wear when required. As all classes are currently outdoors please bring a hat.

Yoga classes are completed barefoot therefore if your child is wearing tights they need to be footless.

Is PLAY grp registered with the NDIS?

No, PLAY grp is not currently registered as an NDIS provider.
